Adoption month brunch set by MCCS

YOUNGSTOWN

In observance of National Adoption Month, Mahoning County Children Services will host an awareness brunch at noon Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 707 Arlington St.

The brunch will educate the community about adoption, celebrate adoptive families and draw attention to the children in the county who are waiting for a permanent family.

Currently there are 34 children in permanent custody, 19 of whom do not have an identified adoptive home.

The brunch is free and open to the public. Reservations are required by Friday at 330-941-8852.
