A bar owner was beaten in the head during a robbery at the Devil’s Den on 12th Street, police report.

Officers responded to a call shortly after the robbery occurred at 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The owner, Todd Zamary, was bleeding from a head wound when police got there, the report said.

Zamary told police two assailants entered the bar with guns.

They ordered Zamary to get on the floor, the report says. A bar maid also told police she lay face down on the floor during the robbery.

Zamary told police he got on the floor under a pool table. One of the robbers pulled him out and hit him on the side of the head with his gun.

The robber then reached into Zamary’s pocket and stole a .380-caliber handgun from him.

Zamary also gave “a few hundred dollars” to the robber. The second suspect took $100 from the register, the report says.

Zamary told police the first suspect was a male, but he isn’t sure about the second suspect. He said he heard a female’s voice.

An ambulance was called, but Zamary refused treatment, the report said. Police stood by while he cleaned up the bar.
