The veteran newswoman has interviewed every president since Richard Nixon. It will be her second time sitting down with the Obamas, not counting a presidential visit to “The View.”

In a break with both tradition and habit, NBC will schedule three hours of comedies on Thursday nights starting Jan. 20.

The new Thursday lineup will look like this: “Community” (8 p.m.); “Perfect Couples” (8:30 p.m.); “The Office” (9 p.m.); “Parks and Recreation” (9:30 p.m.); “30 Rock” (10 p.m.); and “Outsourced” (10:30 p.m.).
