Kenyon 83, Grove City 76 (OT)

GAMBIER

The Wolverines rallied to force overtime but lost after Kenyon posted an 8-0 run in the extra session. Brett Matson and Kris Verderber each scored 15 points for the Wolverines. Matson added 11 rebounds and four assists. Uros Vasiljevik and Kodey Haddox each scored 20 points for Kenyon.

Malone 96, Wilberforce 72

CANTON

The Pioneers never trailed in winning their fourth straight game. Kyle Higgins came off the bench to knock down six of 11 three-pointers and both of his free throw attempts for a 20 points. Forward Ebiowei Porbeni tossed in 17 points to go with eight rebounds and two blocks. Guard Eric Coblentz posted 16 points on six of 12 shooting from the field. Forward Cory Veldhuizen tallied 12 points and seven boards while guard Isiah Elliott notched 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

WOMEN

Allegheny 79, Grove City 53

GROVE CITY, Pa.

Sophomore guard Leah Gibson (North Canton/Hoover) led Grove City with 16 points while freshman forward Hannah Jo Coneby added 11 points. Christine Slater added nine points. Allegheny asserted control of the game by going on an 18-2 run in the first half. The Gators led by as many as 19 in the first half. Senior forward Alison Wells pulled in eight

rebounds for the Wolverines. Jill Gregory led Allegheny with 16 points and Erica Resitch added 13 points.

Hillsdale 85, Walsh 81

NORTH CANTON

Katie Bildner scored 15 points while Chelsea Harrison and Laura Barczak each scored 14 for Hillsdale (3-0). For Walsh (3-1), Cara Bedard netted 23 points while Bianca Hooten (Canton McKinley) scored 18 and Daniella Ciccarone had 15. Tatiana Hall made eight rebounds and Bedard seven.

Geneva 73, Penn St. Greater Allegheny 30

PITTSBURGH

The Golden Tornadoes (1-1) rebounded from Monday’s loss to Penn State Beaver with a blowout victory in the second day of the LaRoche College Tournament. Greater Allegheny was limited to two field goals in the first half. Geneva forced 30 turnovers. Freshman Samantha Fisher scored 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Valerie Hamilton also scored 11 points.
