A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Nov. 7

Drug abuse/paraphernalia: Police arrested Eric Welsh III, 20, 9655 Berlin Heights Drive for possession of 5 grams of marijuana and a pack of cigar rolling papers.

Nov. 8

Vandalism: A student’s truck was parked at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. The student reported the truck had been moved from its parking space, and then he discovered while driving home that the steering was damaged.

Nov. 9

Theft by deception: A student gave a cafeteria worker a counterfeit $20 bill to get change at the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School.

Nov. 10

Drug paraphernalia: Ian Davis, 25, 25 Sheridan, Niles was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on East Main St.

Theft: An iPod was stolen at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, and a juvenile student was issued a summons for the theft.

Nov. 13

Drug abuse: Police arrested Jason Allison, 8759 state Route 62 for drug abuse of marijuana. Police found 0.6 grams of marijuana on him at McQuaid’s gas station, 407 W. Main St.

Nov. 8

Fraud: Fraudulent checks were cashed at Home Savings and Loan, 4259 Kirk Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Andrew Jacobson,33, 362 N. Edgehill Ave. for failure to appear on traffic warrants in the 5000 block of Seventy-Six Drive.

Assault: A man is a suspect in an assault at Mike’s Lounge, 5532 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 1974 Chevrolet Corvette was reported stolen in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Nov . 9

Drug offense: Raymond Gutierrez, 43, 8778 N. Palmyra Road, Canfield was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia with marijuana residue in it at state Route 46 and N. Beacon Drive.

Theft: A cell phone was taken from Comprehensive Logistics, 365 Victoria Road.

Theft: Police issued a summons for theft to Porsha McArthur, 24, 42 N. Bon Air Ave., Youngstown for theft of more than $200 in merchandise from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 3000 block of Orchard Hill.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a food bill at Belleria Pizza, 3460 S. Meridian Road.

Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Paisley St.

Theft: A debit card and a leather coat were reported stolen from an auto at home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.

Identity theft: A resident of the 3000 block of Whispering Pines told police he was contacted by AT&T about an $800 phone bill in his name for a business in South Carolina. The business is not his.

Menacing: A woman was threatened by her boyfriend at state Route 46 and Mahoning Avenue.

Menacing by stalking: An unknown male was making calls and following the victim at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Nov. 10

Theft: Police arrested Michael Walterich, 43, 2910 Tamarack Drive, Newton Falls, on a summons for theft and Catherine Walterich,39, same address on a summons for complicity to theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Franklin Drummond, 44, 415 Central Parkway, Warren was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a domestic violence charge.

Recovered property: Two bicycles were recovered in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Disorderly conduct: Scott Gehring, 48, 2925 Penny Lane was charged with disorderly conduct at Kirk Road and state Route 11.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged John Ayres, Sr., 32, 84 Idlewood Road with disorderly conduct at his home.

Breaking and entering: A Pioneer car stereo was taken from a garage at a home in the 3000 block of S. Meridian Road.

Nov. 11

Disorderly conduct: Jordan Ray was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Lexington Ave. and Oakwood Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Michael Ciccolelli,Jr. 309 S. Edgehill Ave., on a warrant for failure to appear.

Theft: An unknown quantity of CB antennas were stolen from Pilot, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road by two males.

Theft: Two males stole clothing and two computers items from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen from the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

Telecommunications harrassment: Unwanted phone callls were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Briarwood Lane.

Theft: $9.73 in fuel was stolen from Shell gas station, 4200 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: A deceased person opened accounts in her sister’s name and charged $39,000 before dying at a home in the 5000 block of Pine Shadow Court.

Nov. 12:

Theft: Checks were stolen and cashed at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Checks were stolen and cashed from Monroe Excavating, Canfield.

Theft: A clerk was short-changed at the Shell gas station, 1704 S. Raccoon Road.

Telephone harassment: A man is accused of telephone harassment at a home in the 2000 block of Innwood Street.

Felonious assault: A female was scratched several times with a safety pin by another female at a home in the 800 block of N. Raccoon Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 1000 block of S. Turner Road.

Falsification: Joanne Petrus, 63, Hollywood, Fla. was charged with falsification in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Burglary: Copper plumbing was taken from a home in the 200 block of S. Main Street.

Nov. 13

Drug offense: Stephen Hogan, 21, 415 Wilcox Road was issued two summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account at a home in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.

Criminal damaging: A metal mailbox was damaged with a bat at a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Criminal damaging: Both door mirrors were broken off of a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A metal mailbox was damaged at a home in the 6000 block of New Road.

Criminal trespass: Eugene Silvasy, 85, 294 Wilcox Road was arrested for criminal trespass at Wal-Mart.

Drug offense: Darius Holcomb, 24, 758 Pineview was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 5400 block of New Road.

Recovered property: A purse left at Subway, 8251/2 N. Niles-Canfield Road was recovered.

Theft: A stolen bicycle was reported in the 900 block of Compass West.

Nov. 14

Theft: A prescription was picked up by an unauthorized person at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: A boy’s Roadmaster bicycle was recovered in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.
