Neighbors say suspected meth house in Akron was busy
AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Neighbors of a suspected meth house in Ohio where an explosion badly burned two men say several children and adults lived there.
An explosion early Monday blew out the second-floor windows of the Akron home, located one block from a school.
Police went to the house after hospital staff members were skeptical about how the men explained burns to their face, arms and chest. Police say both men had prior drug records.
Authorities say large amounts of methamphetamine were being cooked in the house. Meth components are highly flammable.
No immediate charges were filed.
