Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District has special election Friday


YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District will have a special election for district board of supervisors Friday at the district office, 850 Industrial Road.

Two board members will be elected to a three-year term of office. County residents and landowners have three options for casting a ballot.

Call or visit SWCD office 330-740-7995 or 850 Industrial Road, Youngstown 44509-2955 to request a ballot.

Cast a ballot at the district office by 4 p.m. Thursday.

Cast a ballot at the election from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at the district office.

Eligible voters must be 18 and live in Mahoning County or own land in the district.

Candidates in the year’s special election are David Hively of Green Township, George J. Mesaros of Youngstown, Gary Ruggles Jr. of North Jackson, and Richard S. Scarsella of Boardman.
