Delta adding Pittsburgh-to-Paris flights in June
IMPERIAL, Pa. (AP) — Delta Air Lines plans to offer two nonstop flights daily from Pittsburgh International Airport to Paris during the summer travel season.
Delta began the service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport last year. Delta offered two flights five days a week last summer before cutting back to its current schedule of two Paris flights four days a week.
The boost in service will begin June 1.
The airline has a subsidy agreement with the airport, the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and the state to offer the flights.
Delta had the option to stop offering the Paris flights at the end of May 2011. Instead, Delta spokesman Trebor Banstetter says the airline will offer the Paris flights through at least August.
Delta offers 31 daily nonstop flights from Pittsburgh to seven cities.
