MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Nov. 17: Grilled chicken with gravy, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rye bread with margarine, unsweetened applesauce, angel food cake, and orange cupcake.

Thursday, Nov. 18: Southwestern meatloaf, cheesy mashed potatoes, peas, wheat bread with margarine, sweetened or unsweetened red gelatin with fruit.

Friday, Nov. 19: Johnny Marzetti, hot unsweetened apples, Italian mixed vegetables, shredded lettuce salad with Italian dressing, Italian bread with margarine, fudge round, and angel food cake.

Saturday, Nov. 20: Cold cut sandwich on a hamburger gun with mayo/mustard, bag of carrots with ranch dressing, fresh orange, and apple juice.

Monday, Nov. 22: Chicken fingers with barbecue sauce, potato spudsters, peas and carrots, wheat bread with margarine, pineapple tidbits, and chocolate chip or Lorna Doone cookie.

Tuesday, Nov. 23: Turkey slice with bread dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, brussels sprouts, wheat bread and a fresh orange.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.

Wednesday, Nov. 17: Grilled chicken with gravy, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rye bread with margarine, unsweetened applesauce, and angel food cake or a cupcake.
