Pedestrian accident probed

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is still investigating an accident that sent a Bristolville teen to the hospital.

Thomas Darno, 17, was tending to a disabled vehicle on state Route 45 in Bristol Township when he was hit by another vehicle, troopers said. The accident happened at 8:07 p.m. Saturday on state Route 45, one mile north of state Route 88, and Darno was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. From there, he was flown by helicopter to MetroHospital in Cleveland, where he remains in critical condition, a nursing supervisor said.
