Austintown couple recognized by cancer society

Mike and Patty Griffin of Austintown received the Mahoning County Unit of the American Cancer Society’s 2010 Volunteer of the Year Award at the organization’s annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner.

The dinner, at which were recognized volunteers who helped with fund-raising events, education programs, advocacy activities, office mailings, as a board of director member or assisted in other areas, was at Rusty’s Southside Grill. The cost was underwritten by Farmer’s National Bank.
