Rust Belt opens to sell new beer
Youngstown
To mark the release of its latest beer, Rust Belt Brewing Co. will open its brewery at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., from noon to 5 p.m. today. The new brew, McPoyle’s Milk Stout, will be available for purchase in limited supply so that the general public can get the first taste. It is the first of at least four John Young Select beers that will be released to honor the founder of Youngstown, said Rust Belt president Ken Blair.
McPoyle’s will be available at select retailers beginning Monday. The creamy, slightly sweet brew has a smooth texture and dark chocolate, caramel and roasted coffee flavors.
“With the holiday season approaching, McPoyle’s Milk Stout was an obvious choice to kick things off, since it pairs so well with chocolate desserts as well as classic holiday desserts like pumpkin cheesecake,” said Blair.
The new brew will be available in cases of 12 22-ounce bottles. Cases can be reserved by e-mailing RustyBrew@gmail.com or calling Jillian Blair at 330-423-3840. For more information, go to RustyBrew.com.
