Pedestrian hit in Trumbull County

A person walking on state Route 45 in Bristol Township was seriously injured after being hit by a car, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The accident happened at 8:07 p.m. Saturday on state Route 45, one mile north of state Route 88.

The pedestrian was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for injuries, the dispatcher said.

No additional information about the accident, including the names of the pedestrian and motorist, was available late Saturday.

Meanwhile, at 8:01 p.m. Saturday, one person was injured in a two-car accident on Mahoning Avenue, near state Route 305, in Champion, according to a Trumbull County Emergency 911 dispatcher.

The person injured in that crash also was taken to TMH.

No additional information about that accident was unavailable from the dispatcher or Champion police late Saturday.
