HERSHEY, Pa.

The Dutch Wonderland amusement park in central Pennsylvania has a new owner.

Hershey Entertainment and Resorts announced Friday that it sold Dutch Wonderland to Palace Entertainment. The ownership change is effective immediately. A sale price was not disclosed.

The Dutch-themed amusement park was founded in Lancaster by the Clark family in 1963. Hershey bought it and the Old Mill Stream Campground in 2001.

California-based Palace Entertainment operates 38 amusement parks in 11 states. Four of the facilities — Kennywood, Idlewild, Soak Zone and Sandcastle — are in the Pittsburgh area.
