Police responded to a call of a drowned man at Bryson Manor Adult Care Facilities on Thursday night.

Michael Lambert, 53, of Youngstown was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center after fellow Bryson Manor residents found him submerged in a bathtub on the first floor of the building’s west wing.

Another resident told police he went into the bathroom after a third resident called for him. Upon entering the bathroom, the second resident found the third resident sitting in the tub and Lambert in the room with him. The third resident told the second resident to ask Lambert to leave, but Lambert refused.

The second resident then left the bathroom to smoke a cigarette outside. He returned to the bathroom five minutes later to find Lambert under water in the bathtub and the third resident gone. The second resident alerted a caretaker, who called paramedics.

The third resident told police he left the bathroom after the second resident went outside and Lambert made a sexual advance at him.

Rural Metro Ambulance was on the scene when police arrived.

A supervisor at the facility said Lambert was on several medications to treat schizophrenia, among other ailments.
