Event planned for children with grief

YOUNGSTOWN

Children and teens from 6 to 14 are invited to learn what they feel and what holidays mean to them when a loved one has died.

The event will be from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 4 at Zion Lutheran Chuch, 3300 Canfield Road, and is sponsored by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home.

Each child will create an ornament in memory of his loved one, and share stories with others in their age group who also experienced a death of a loved one.

They will decorate cookies to take home and share with family, and sing Christmas carols.
