ASSOCIATIONS

William Penn Association, Branch 23, Youngstown, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Boardman for a thank-you dinner for members and to honor 50-year members.

Youngstown Alumnae Panhellenic Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Rotary Room in Boardman Park. The program will be “Redesigning Women.”

ATHLETIC GROUPS

Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

McDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1963 will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at the Blue Wolf Tavern, U.S. Route 224 in Boardman.

South High School Class of 1953 will have a monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Johnny’s on Market Street in Boardman. Plans will be finalized for a Christmas party on Dec. 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Johnny’s. All classmates are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1953 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Johnny’s in Boardman. Guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Chapter CE of the PEO Sisterhood will gather at noon Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a luncheon and meeting. The program will be a speaker, Carol Bopp, from Hope House. Hostesses are Karen Matthews and Carol Richards.

Mahoning Valley Wine and Food Lovers Club will meet at the private dining room in Stonebridge Tavern and Grille on state Route 224 at Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following meetings: Howland Happy Stitchers at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles-Cortland Road, to work on a basket for the holiday party. Wilmington Township Civic League of Mercer County will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the township building, 35 Auction Road, New Wilmington. The program will feature Cynthia Clarke of West Middlesex as a “reinactor.” She will relate the tale of the Civil War and of Belle Boy, a teenage spy for the Confederacy. Refreshments will be served. Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Church Ministry Building, 7325 Westview Drive, Boardman. Louis Joseph will discuss his latest cemetery book, “Calvary IV.” Also speaking will be the Rev. Antoninus Niemiec, associate pastor of St. Dominic Church, who will share his thesis presentation and present a way to extend the tree metaphor to produce family trees.
