Wing-eating contest will benefit United Way

Eastern Gateway Community College students, faculty and staff will stage a wing-eating contest Saturday to benefit United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

Beginning at noon, contestants will chow down at Buffalo Wild Wings, 50 E. Federal St. Contestants are finding sponsors who will pay 50 cents to $1 per wing with the proceeds going to United Way.

The participant with the most sponsors will be recognized with a gift valued at $50. The contest winner will receive a $100 gas card. Those dining that day with an Eastern Gateway coupon from Wild Wings will see 15 percent of the proceeds donated to United Way. The public is invited.
