Firefighter injured in fall from hunting tree stand
WEST MIDDLESEX, pa.
A hunter who fell 24 feet out of a tree stand had a dislocated shoulder and a cracked hip, said Bill Williams, Shenango Township fire chief. Williams would not release the name of the hunter, who is a volunteer firefighter.
The accident happened at 5 p.m. in woods near Stony Hill and Burrows roads, Williams said.
The hunter called Williams on his cell phone, and Williams sent the department, he said. The man was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
