Senate Democrats re-elect Cafaro

The incoming 10-member Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus re-elected state Sen. Capri Cafaro as its leader today.

Cafaro of Liberty, D-32nd, will continue to serve in the position she’s held since Nov. 12, 2008.

All of candidates voted to the four leadership positions among Ohio Senate Democrats ran unopposed.

State Rep. Jason Wilson of Columbiana, D-30th, was re-elected as assistant minority whip, the Nov. 4 position for Ohio Senate Democrats.

Democrats lost two positions in the state Senate in last week’s election leaving them with only 10 of the legislative body’s 33 positions, effective in January.
