Public invited to tree planting

YOUNGSTOWN

Treez Please, a community reforestation project, is wrapping up the season by meeting from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at First Unitarian Church, Elm Street and Illinois Avenue

The event is open to the public and will include a report by the internship class of 2010 and live music.

To raise funds for next year’s internship program, there will be silent auctions, and food and beverages will be sold. There will also be a sale of Treez Please notecards, holiday cards and T-shirts.

At 4 p.m. three elm trees will be planted on the east devil strip at Wick Park to commemorate Youngstown’s Tree City USA status.
