Married at 1:30 p.m. June 12 at Glenwood Christian Fellowship were Melissa Mihalko, daughter of Dr. Ronald and Mrs. Sandra Mihalko of Boardman, and Philip Hobbins, son of David Hobbins and Deborah Hobbins, both of Jeanette, Pa.

The Rev. Nathan Doyle solemnized the ceremony, and a reception followed at The Embassy in Youngstown.

The couple reside in Roanoke, Va., since returning from a honeymoon to Hawaii.

The bride wore a strapless white ball gown of duchess satin. Sequins, crystals, seed pearls and silver thread enhanced the bodice, skirt and semicathedral train.

Her sister, Kristen Mihalko, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Rachel Hobbins, the groom’s sister, Christine Huber, Patricia Ellis, Denise White and Rebecca Walkinshaw. They wore wine-colored gowns.

Derek Hobbins served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were David Borodycia, Michael Jack, Lucas Rizzardi, Jared Yanovich and Randal Dreistadt.

Mrs. Hobbins, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, holds a doctorate in pharmacy. She is an internal medicine clinical pharmacist at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke.

The groom graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is employed as an engineer for Emerson Process Management in Pittsburgh.
