Event to raise funds for lung transplant

The Gold Rush Express will provide music for dancing at a benefit scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Laddie’s Sky Club, 8189 Warren-Sharon Road, Proceeds will go toward the costs associated with a lung transplant for Brookfield resident Richard Capella Sr.

The event will include a basket auction and 50-50 raffle, and there will be hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks. Tickets are $10 at the door or call 330-980-3106 or 330-978-5996 and include a chance to win a handmade quilt. A cash bar will be available for adult beverages.

Donations can be made on behalf of Capella at Huntington Bank in Brookfield.
