Edsels to perform in concert

The Edsels will perform at Glenwood Middle School auditorium at 8 p.m. Dec. 3. Tickets will be available at the door and also can be ordered in advance by sending $20 to: Kiwanis Club of Boardman, c/o Edsels Tickets, P.O. Box 3253, Boardman, OH 44513.

The doo-wop vocal group from Campbell made it big in the late 1950s with its song “Rama Lama Ding Dong,” which became an international hit. The original members were George “Wydell” Jones, Jimmy Reynolds, Marshall Sewell and twins Harry and Larry Green.

The Edsels recently released a new CD, “Doo Wop Never Dies” which features a remake of “Rama Lama.”
