The wedding of Jennifer Cioffi and David A. Verrocchi took place at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Michael LoPresti solemnized the ceremony for the daughter of Dominic and Kathleen Cioffi of Canfield and son of Attilio Verrocchi of Euclid and the late Maria Verrocchi.
A reception followed at Mastropietro Winery in Ellsworth, and the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to South Beach, Miami, and Key West, Fla. They reside in Lyndhurst.
The bride wore a strapless, ivory shantung silk gown designed with a sweetheart neckline. It was enhanced with pearled and sequined appliqu s at the neckline and hem. The bodice was ruched and corseted with silk ribbon.
Her sister Gianna Cioffi was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were another sister of the bride, Catherine Moreno, and the groom’s cousin, Lisa Wittine. They wore pewter cocktail dresses with black bolero jackets.
Best man was Jason Behun, and groomsmen were Ross and Loreto Verrocchi, the groom’s brothers. Ushers were Anthony Moreno, the bride’s brother-in-law; Nathan Moreno, her nephew; and Dean Frederick, her cousin.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and a master’s degree in education from Kent State University. She is a Scripps Howard teaching fellow and has completed all requirements except her dissertation for a doctorate from Ohio University. She is a teacher with the Mayfield City School District in Mayfield Village.
Mr. Verrocchi is owner of David’s Finishing Touch in Lyndhurst. He attends Cuyahoga Community College, pursuing a degree in education.
