Warren mayor won’t seek re-election

Mayor Michael O’Brien said he is “very comfortable with my decision” not to run for reelection.

In a packed news conference in his office Friday, O’Brien, mayor since 2004, announced he will not seek a third term and revealed that he made the decision himself earlier this year without consulting anyone else.

“I’ve kept this to myself for months and months and months,” the mayor said.
