Chesney coming to Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH

Country music artist Kenny Chesney will return to Heinz Field July 2, 2011, as a part of his Goin’ Coastal Tour. Tickets range from $29 to $150 and will go on sale Dec. 4 at all Ticketmaster locations, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Co-headliner will be the Zac Brown Band. Bluegrass concert at WYSU festival

YOUNGSTOWN

Ohio-based bluegrass band Copus Hill will perform at 7 tonight at Peaberry’s Cafe in Kilcawley Center on the Youngstown State University campus in a folk- festival concert sponsored by WYSU-FM. Admission is free. Copus Hill, which plays a mix of traditional and original bluegrass, has been featured at the Mohican Bluegrass Festival in Glenmont.

Acclaimed guitarist in concert at Bliss

YOUNGSTOWN

Canadian guitarist Jerome Ducharme will give a free concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bliss Recital Hall on the Youngstown State University campus. Ducharme, winner of the 2005 Guitar Foundation of America International Competition, is a graduate of the Music Conservatory of Montreal.

Cassidy charged

FORT PIERCE, Fla.

Former “Partridge Family” heartthrob David Cassidy has been charged with driving under the influence in Florida. The Florida Highway Patrol says his car was stopped around 6 p.m. Wednesday for weaving and nearly causing an accident. Cassidy told a trooper that he had a glass of wine at lunch and a hydrocodone pill at 3:30 p.m. Troopers reported finding a half-empty bottle of bourbon in the back seat. The FHP says Cassidy failed a field sobriety test and two breath tests.
