City schools will have parents sign ‘contract’ regarding conduct on school buses
Parents of students in the Youngstown school district will be required to sign a “contract” regarding bus safety rules.
“We are determined to provide a safe environment for the students,” Superintendent Wendy Webb said today.
The rules include no fighting or verbal abuse, no eating or drinking on buses, behaving at the bus stop, no yelling or shouting on buses, and obeying the driver.
The contracts will be sent home next week. Because it’s a new program, parents will have time to return the forms.
Beginning with the next school year, the contracts will be sent home with students at the start of each school year, Webb said.
