Fix the potholes first
Fix the potholes first
Dumb, dumb and dumber. That is what I think of the Mahoning County Engineers Department. They don’t have any money to buy blacktop to patch potholes from last year’s winter in the Tri County area. But they can pay Ohio Edison thousands of dollars to move the electric lines back so they can widen Western Reserve Road.
Why? The road is wide enough now. All they have to do is level it from one side to the other side and black top it. But no, they want to take frontage off of every homeowner’s front yard even the church to widen the road.
I can see why all the homeowners are very unhappy. I heard rumors one home owner is getting $300 for his frontage and will have to pay $25,000 to move his septic tank back. Doesn’t sound too smart to me. How about the TV news reporters going out and talk to the home owners and see what they have to say about the whole thing.
