Penn State campus will showcase talent

SHARON, Pa.

Penn State’s Got Talent, a show sponsored by the Penn State Shenango Drama Club, will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Penn State Auditorium on Shenango Avenue, downtown. Entertainers will include faculty and students.

Admission is $5 ($3 for students with ID; free for children under 5), with a $1 discount with a donation of a nonperishable food item for the Community Food Warehouse.

Art exhibitions at Lemon Grove

YOUNGSTOWN

Two art exhibitions will open Saturday at The Lemon Grove, 122 W. Federal St., downtown — “The Art of Michael Green” and “Images of Downtown Youngstown.” An opening reception for both exhibitions will begin at 6 p.m.

Green’s works range from lithographs to paintings, and the “Images” exhibition includes photography and paintings by various artists.

Campbell woman on game show

Edwina Baier of Campbell will appear Friday on the “Let’s Make a Deal” game show as a contestant. The one-hour show airs at 3 p.m. on WKBN-TV 27. It is hosted by Wayne Brady.

Two radio stations to change formats

WARREN

Radio station WANR-1570 AM, is changing its format. It will adopt the moniker The Blizzard and will air Warren-based news and sports and classic Top-40 music. WANR is teasing the new format, which will include shows by syndicated personalities Jim Zippo, Eric Chase, John Landecker and Rick Dees, according to Chris Lash, president of Whiplash Radio, owner of the station.

WANR sister station WNIO-1390 AM will pick up the Fox Sports programming that WANR had been carrying. WNIO’s current format is adult standards.

Walk of Fame honors Derns, Ladd

It was a family affair for Laura Dern, her father, Bruce Dern, and mother, Diane Ladd.

The acting dynasty was honored Monday during a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the first in which three family members received stars at the same time.
