Police seek suspect who shot woman

Police are searching for the person who shot a 21-year-old Youngstown woman on Arlington Street.
The victim, who lives on Neosho Road, told police she was shot in the upper back at 12:40 a.m. Monday as she was walking up the drive to her aunt’s house.
Police said the victim’s injury was probably not life-threatening. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.
A nursing supervisor at the hospital said Monday evening that the woman was still at the hospital, but wouldn’t give the victim’s medical condition.
Before the woman went to the hospital, police asked if anyone was angry with her and would shoot her. The woman told police she couldn’t think of anyone who would want to harm her.
Police checked their records and found that the woman’s car was burned in her driveway last week and her home was burglarized in October.
