Honoring military

To honor members of the armed forces this Memorial Day, the Youngstown Jewish Community Center is offering them a free four-day pass to the center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown.

Any member of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard can receive a pass to the J for todaythrough Friday. Armed forces members will have full access to the J’s fitness center, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Members must present a military-identification card at the front desk.

Hale farm trip

Sign up today for the bus trip the United Local Community Education department is sponsoring June 12 to historic Hale Farm in Bath, Ohio.

Hale Farm will celebrate Pioneer Weekend that day. Attendees will explore early 19th-century life complete with soldiers from the War of 1812.

The bus will leave United High School at 7:45 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $18 and includes admission to the Pioneer festival.

Concert series

The Warren Civic Music Association, which is marking its 70th anniversary, is selling season tickets to six concerts for $80 for adults and $32 for youths.

The performances will take place at Packard Music Hall, which has free parking.
