SINKING SPRING, Pa.

Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say an elderly woman visiting her husband’s grave in a cemetery died after being struck by her own car.

The Berks County coroner’s office said the 82-year-old woman was pinned beneath her car in the cemetery behind St. John’s Reformed Church in Sinking Spring about 12:20 p.m. Saturday. Deputy Coroner John Hollenbach said the woman had gone there to place Memorial Day flowers on the grave of her husband, a veteran.

Her name was withheld until all family members could be notified.
