Breaking the silence, in part by getting beyond socially defined roles, challenging traditional images of manhood and taking a stand against such abuse and violence.

Educating young men about their responsibility toward ending abuse and developing effective systems to educate and hold men accountable.

Rejecting the notion that abuse of women is mainly because of mental illness, poor anger-management skills, chemical dependency, stress, etc. Such violence is rooted in the historic oppression of women.

Accepting that violence against women will continue until men become part of the solution to stop it.
