ELLWOOD CITY, Pa.

Pennsylvania State Police in western Pennsylvania say more arrests are expected in the kidnapping-and-assault case involving a man police say was taken to the woods, beaten and urinated on before a rotting deer carcass was dumped upon him.

One of the suspects, Fred Cook Jr., 32, of Enon Valley, was arraigned Friday on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment.

Jack Rodney, 25, Patterson is awaiting trial in the case.

Police say three men kidnapped 18-year-old Vincent Lapaine on May 5 because they suspected him in a burglary. Investigators say they drove him to a wooded area, tied him to a tree, beat him and urinated on him before hurling a rotting deer carcass onto him.

Police say Lapaine is recovering from his injuries. He hasn’t been charged with any crime.
