Ohio county gets $2M from probe

CLEVELAND

The Ohio county seated at Cleveland has received more than $2 million that authorities say was lost through corruption and bribery and regained since a federal probe began in 2008.

Cuyahoga County officials say they likely will keep the money unspent until a voter-approved switch from a county commission to a county council begins in January.

The U.S. attorney’s office says about $2.3 million has been repaid of the more than $10 million in restitution that the judges have ordered to the county, agencies and school districts.
