Degree from Cincinnati

Laura Gaige Albert of Canfield received her doctor of medicine May 23 from the University of Cincinnati Medical School.

Dr. Gaige Albert is a 2002 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School who earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 2006.

She begins a residency in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in July. She is married to Justin Albert of New Milford, Conn., and is the daughter of Gene and Kathie Chaffee Gaige of Canfield.

Degree from Pittsburgh

Elaina Holko, daughter of Debra and Richard Holko of Cortland, received her doctor of pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. The graduation hooding ceremony was earlier this month.

Holko is a 2004 graduate of Lakeview High School in Cortland.

She has received several percussion awards and continues with music by playing in a band and as a disc jockey at pharmacy events and venues in Pittsburgh.

Holko is a member of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists and was a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity throughout pharmacy school.

She has accepted a position with a Rite Aid pharmacy in Pittsburgh.

LAWYERS

Washington and Lee

James E. Collins Jr. of Cortland has received his law degree from Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va.

Collins received these honors or participated in these activities: moot-court-mediation competition, finalist; German Law Journal, senior editor; Journal of Civil Rights, staff writer; and Federalist Society, conference chairman.
