Milton Twp. seeking crime watch members

MILTON

The township police district is inviting residents to join the township crime watch program. Meetings are at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month at town hall.

The citizens crime watch program is meant to identify the patterns of crime in a particular neighborhood. Participants, acting in conjunction with the police district, are then able to reduce risk to themselves and neighbors.

The program provides the opportunity to meet with the chief of police and officers of the police district. It also includes an overview of the department’s policies and procedures.

Applicants must be a citizen of Milton Township with a clean criminal history (excluding traffic infractions). Citizens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
