Ciara Thomas to be bride of Mr. Washington

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Thomas of Youngstown are announcing plans for the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ciara G. Thomas, and Nicholas M. Washington, both of Farmington Hills, Mich.

Mr. Washington is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Melvin of Detroit.

The couple have chosen Sept. 18 for their 1 p.m. wedding to take place at New Bethel Baptist Church. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and a reception at The Embassy.

Miss Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Cincinnati and is employed as a financial counselor with Green Path Debt Solutions in Farmington Hills.

Her fianc graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and received a master’s degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix. He works as a team leader at Party City in Livonia, Mich.
