Stadium Drive hosts its own prom

Students at Stadium Drive Elementary hosted their sixth annual Senior Prom May 12 in the school auditorium. Students were escorted to the prom by their grandparents and were able to spend the evening dancing and mingling with teachers and friends.

The evening was intended for fourth-graders to make memories with their grandparents. School Principal Jim Goske said it was nice to see the faces of the students light up as they danced with their grandparents.

“Schools have a lot of programs for parents, but there aren’t many opportunities for students’ grandparents to spend some memorable time with their grandchildren,” he said.
