Saying goodbye to a butterfly

Elaine Scott, above, and members of her first-grade class at St. Patrick School in Hubbard release one of the butterflies they took care of as part of a class project. The students watch the butterflies develop and emerge from cocoons. The class then feeds and takes care of the butterflies until it’s time to release them. The project has become a tradition for first-graders.
