Ohio man accused of killing former in-laws

COLUMBUS (AP) — Authorities say a couple in their 70s were killed by their former son-in-law, who’s also accused of stealing from their home and setting fire to it.

Court records show 64-year-old Harry Woodbridge of Lancaster in central Ohio appeared before a judge in Columbus today on two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated arson. Bond was set at $2 million.

Columbus firefighters found Woodbridge’s former in-laws inside their burning house Monday night. Charlene Horn, 72, died at the scene, while her 78-year-old husband, Arlie Horn, died at a hospital.

The coroner says autopsies indicated the Horns died from being struck and stabbed, not the fire.
