Links conducts induction ceremony at country club

Avalon Golf and Country Club was the setting April 25 as the Youngstown Chapter of The Links Inc., installed officers for the 2010-12 season.
After serving four years as vice president of the organization, Krishmu Shipmon, administrator for Mahoning County Jobs and Family Adult Protective Services and member of numerous boards, was installed as president during a candlelight ceremony conducted by Sarah Brown-Clark, Youngstown Municipal Clerk of Courts.
Inducted as her associate officers were Janice L. Beachum, vice president; Susan Moorer, recording secretary; Lenora Hill, corresponding secretary and public relations; Joann Blunt, financial secretary; and Germaine Bennett, treasurer.
Performing the duties of committee and facet chairwomen will be Joan Boyd, The Arts and archivist; Alison Harmon, services to youth, nominating and scholarship; Moorer, national trends and services; Anne R. Cobbin, international trends, services and ethics; Beachum, programs and membership; Blunt, budget and finance; Juanita Davis, constitution, bylaws and social; Margaret Staples, ways and means; Brown-Clark, protocol and parliamentarian; and Mabel Paige, chaplain.
After the installation and rededication of the membership, a dinner reception was hosted by members of the nominating committee.
