A group of local Chevrolet dealers has banded together in a unified marketing campaign, energized by the anticipated launch of the Chevy Cruze this summer.

The “Chevy All-Stars,” a group of 17 Chevy dealerships from the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys, has launched a joint advertising venture this summer.

“Its a local marketing group where the dealers pool their resources together,” said Mark Fabian, general sales manager at Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown, a member of the Chevy All-Stars. “There is strength in numbers.”

The group, which has come together before, was recently reformed in the wake of the recent success of the Chevy brand, said Tom Mock, a spokesman for the General Motors complex in Lordstown, which will produce the Chevy Cruze. Mock provides communications support for the Chevy All-Stars.

“This is a unified voice for all of the Chevy dealers in the area,” Mock said. “This will pull the Chevy dealers together to better educate themselves, not only about the Cruze, but about all of the excellent products that Chevy is putting out.”
