The Ohio State Patrol said Thomas Vukovich, 44, of Boardman was seriously injured when his car was struck by a pickup truck that went left of center on State Route 7 just south of State Route 164 around 3:20 a.m. Sunday.

Police said Vukovich was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, with life-threatening injuries. The hospital declined to release any information on his condition.

Police said a southbound pickup driven by Jerod Bullen, 28, of New Springfield went out of control on a curve and ran left of center, hitting Vukovich’s car.

Bullen and a passenger, Dianna Dybski — no age or address given — were treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said.
