Oliphants mark anniversary at family dinner

AUSTINTOWN

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Oliphant of Austintown was celebrated recently at a family dinner party.

In attendance were their children and their spouses, Jenny and Joe Sarisky of Diamond and Scott and Theresa Oliphant of Pickerington; and their grandchildren, Joe Sarisky and Kristin and Lauryn Oliphant.

The former Pauline Warg and Mr. Oliphant were united in marriage May 14, 1960, at Indianola Methodist Church in Youngstown.

Mr. Oliphant served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was employed at Ryan Carpet in Youngstown prior to retiring.

Mrs. Oliphant, a homemaker, was employed by Mahoning National Bank in Youngstown prior to starting her family. She is a member of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church.
