Garden Forum announces winners of May show

YOUNGSTOWN

“Rock and Roll” was the theme for the standard flower show sponsored by the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area May 15-16 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Following judging of the entries, blue ribbon awards for design were presented to the following garden club members: Kathy Melmar, East Liverpool; Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers; Beverly Patrick, Ikebana; and Charlotte Robertson, Public. A special award in design went to Melmar.

Recipients of blue ribbons in horticulture were: Lynn Hoffman, Men’s Garden Club; Mary Schall, Austintown Garden Club; Bowman and Martha Murphy, Nature Lovers; Rose Marie Roth, Joyce Dunbar and Millie Campean, Gleaners; and Roxanne Kaczynski, Sheri DeHaven and Bertha Eszenyl, Public. Special awards in horticulture were presented to Bowman, Dunbar and Murphy.

Serving as judges were Roth, Bowman and Patrick.
