YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Briya of Youngstown celebrated the 60th anniversary of their wedding during a dinner shared with family and friends at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Fred J. LoSasso in Poland.

Their family includes Eve Mraz of Youngstown; Andrea and Paul T. Briya of Canfield; and Beverly and Scott Krafft of Fort Wayne, Ind; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The former Eva Tkalec and Mr. Briya were married May 20, 1950, in St. Ann Church. They are members of St. Brendan Church.

Mr. Briya served as a Navy Seabee in the South Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. He retired in 1990 as a carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Local 171. Mrs. Briya is a homemaker.
