Work on Route 224

BOARDMAN

Beginning Monday, U.S. Route 224 between Boardman Park Drive and South Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction for pavement work.

In addition, various businesses on Route 224 will have intermittent driveway closures while the paving occurs. This work is weather-dependent. Delays are to be expected.

The job is part of a $5.2 million project to widen Route 224 through the addition of right turn lanes from Boardman Park Drive to just west of South Avenue.

The project also includes improvements to 15 traffic signals from Parkside Drive to Tiffany Boulevard.

The entire project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer.
