Miss Ackerfeld, Mr. Voytilla are engaged

The engagement of Alyx Lindsay Ackerfeld and Gregory Michael Voytilla Jr., both of Fairfax, Va., is being announced by their parents, Gene and Julie Ackerfeld of Huntington, N.Y., and Gregory and Janice Voytilla of Boardman.

The bride-to-be graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing science and a master’s in speech language pathology. She is a speech-language pathologist at the Lab School of Washington.

The prospective groom is a senior consultant with Deloitte Consulting Firm in Rosslyn, Va. He graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies.

The couple will be married at 2 p.m. Sept. 4 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and a reception that evening at the Lake Club in Poland.
